Dorck was born from a problem we got tired of seeing.

An agency lands an important digital project and finds out it has no way to deliver it. Hiring a full-time developer is expensive, risky and doesn't fit the budget of a single project. The usual way out is a freelancer, who delivers in a last-minute scramble, disappears halfway through or hands back code nobody else can maintain. In the end, the agency is the one that loses face with the client.

We realized a third option was missing. Not an unreliable freelancer, nor a software house that's too big and too expensive. A tech team structured as a company, with process, contracts and real accountability, but with the size and flexibility that small and midsize agencies need.
